The Society for Invertebrate Pathology offers different support for students, early career scientists, and scientists from less developed countries to participate in the annual meetings. For detailed information, see

Which awards are available for participants?
Students can apply for
Division travel awards,
which will be evaluated by SIP jurors in spring and recipients will usually be notified early May. The deadline for this award is April 15, 2024. All applicants for Division awards who are submitting an oral presentation will also be considered for the
Mauro Martignoni Award.
Students can also compete for either
Best Student Oral or for Best Poster Presentation
at the annual meetings. This opportunity is open to all student presenters, including recipients of Division travel awards.
Scientists (including students and post-docs) from less developed countries are eligible to apply for the
Chris J. Lomer Memorial Award.
The deadline for this award is April 15, 2024.
Scientists in the early stage of their career (including post-docs) may apply for the
Early Career Award,
if they fulfil the criteria. The deadline for this award is March 10, 2024.
Please note: if you apply this year, and do not get the Early Career Award, you will be able to apply again next year if you still qualify.
All applicants for awards also need to submit their abstract(s) separately to the meeting organization.
